FINALLY!
Like many of you, I am really into the Twilight books. My friend Lacey and I decided to go to the midnight party tomorrow night to purchase the final book, Breaking Dawn. In order to get the book tomorrow night for the midnight release we needed to wait in line this morning for wristbands to determine our spot in line. We arrived at 4 a.m. at Barns & Noble with chairs and coffee. It was so much fun just chatting with others about the books in the series. We were thinking we were pretty dumb for waking up so early since the line was still fairly short around 7 a.m. However, the line grew rather quickly after that. We were one of the first 50 in and it only took 1 minute to get the wristband. I drove past the same bookstore 2 hours later and the line was still wrapped around the back. I am SO glad we woke up early!
****For some of you out there and you know who you are, I realize I can go to Target and buy this Saturday morning with no lines to wait in, but what is the fun in that?!

Underoos!!
We made a trip to Wal-Mart tonight and bought the boys underoos. They saw a picture of their cousin Jon in them and that was it. We had to have them! Taylor, like Jon is having a hard time understanding that they ARE underwear but hopefully he will get used to them soon. Isaac loves them and I have a feeling he will put up a fight when it is time to take them off.
Thanks Tiff for letting us know that they are back & where to buy them!!!

Come On People..
I witnessed a whole new level of laziness yesterday that I just have to share. I was driving home from the grocery store and noticed a boy who was about 3 years old riding a small bike with training wheels. My first reaction was where are the parents?! There was no one with this child. I decided to follow him to make sure he was OK. That is when I noticed the red van right next to him. His parents where watching him ride his bike around the block from their van as they followed! Seriously?! Are they that lazy that they can not walk with this little boy around the block?! Crazy people.

I Rule!!!
Now that I have a few minutes where I am not working, the blog has been fixed for those of you out there not smart enough to get a standards compliant browser like Firefox or Safari. I would personally suggest that you all move to Firefox, but I understand in some cases work prevents it. I also understand in other cases you are either looking at your monitor wondering what the letters you are seeing on the screen mean or are just ignoring this post because it was made by me and not Shea...I guess we can't all be perfect!

Ok..this is not fun
Alright, I know my blog is messed up right now. I am trying to change it. For some reason while viewing this in Internet Explorer the page is not completely loading. If it is viewed in FireFox (which is what I use) it loads just fine. This is causing a problem with the font colors. Through Explorer I need the font to be black..through FireFox I need it to be white. So, either way, someone will not be able to read the blogs unless you highlight them. I'm trying to fix this! It may take a bit to figure out.
If any of you out there wouldn't mind, could you tell me how you view this blog so I know who to cater to? Explorer or FireFox users. Thanks!!!

Do You Remember When?
A friend of mine did this on her blog, and I thought that it was fun to think of memories that I have of her, so thought I would share with the rest of you. If you have more than one that you want to share, go right on ahead :)
1. Add a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is most memorable.
2. Next, post these instructions on your blog and see how many people have a fun memory of you. It's pretty fun to see the responses.
3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. :)

The Stick of Love..
My friend Trish and I went to the local Day Spa last week and had a pedicure. It was wonderful! They always try and get you to buy the product they use and for the most part I never do. However, the girl used this moisture stick on my feet and I fell in love all over again. Now, just so you know my feet are really dry. I wear flip flops year around..literally. Rain, snow, sun..whatever. So, for that exact reason I decided to purchase the moisture stick. I have been using it for 1 week and I can not believe the difference it has made! I hope I don't gross any of you out by saying this, but my feet do not snag on my sheets anymore! YAY!
Because I love this so much I wanted to share it with all of you in case any of you out there wear flip flops year around like me. It is by Get Fresh Feet & it is called Poor Soles. The scent is lemon grass. I paid $13.00 at the Day Spa. I found it listed on Amazon for roughly the same price. I hope you enjoy :)

Weekend at the cabin
We decided to take the boys to the family cabin this past Friday for an overnight trip. I can't believe we didn't do this more often the past few months. It is only an hour drive from our house & the drive is beautiful most of the way. After we arrived at the cabin the boys went straight for Tony's & Tiffany's old toys & games they used at this same cabin when they were little. I couldn't believe how excited the boys were to play with old cars & an old pair of dice.
After heating some pizzas up in the oven we relaxed on the back deck and watched the boys play for a bit. We later broke out the three wheeler & dirt bike and went for a ride around cabins nearby. It was a relaxing ride & we were even lucky enough to see deer roaming around a few of the cabins. Later that night we hiked up to the lake where Tony tried to teach the boys & I how to skip rocks. None of us caught on but it was fun anyways! While we were there we saw a mama moose just climbing out of the lake into the woods. She was HUGE! Of course, I didn't have my camera with me at the time. I was totally bummed.
After we got home from the lake we decided it was time to give the boys a bath. They were SO dirty! After we put their jammies on we settled in & watched The Sandlot on TV. When it was finally time to put the boys down they didn't argue at all which totally surprised me! Tony and I later played a few games of SkipBo. It was so nice to spend time just the two of us without any distractions such as our phones or the TV.
The next morning we rode the bikes up to the lake & fed the squirrels off of the back deck. The boys enjoyed every minute of it! I even learned how to drive the dirt bike! I was so proud of myself, even though I did drop it once trying to turn. We are going back in two weeks and I can not wait! After we got home from the lake we decided it was time to give the boys a bath. They were SO dirty! The Police
Last night was The Police concert. Originally we purchased the tickets so that Shea and Tiffany could go, knowing full well that Tiffany was more of a fan than I am. As it turns out she couldn't make it, so I went in her place. I was actually proud of the fact that I knew Sting was previously a teacher, as he mentioned last night (thanks Tiff for the useless turned useful knowledge!). The quote went a little something like this:
"Ten years ago I was a teacher at a girl's convent. I had a pension plan and a mortgage. What the f#$% happened?!?"
I was a bit surprised by how many times I heard Sting swear, actually. Not that I had anything against it or was offended, mind you. I was just a bit surprised to hear it was all.
We were sitting in the lawn for the concert. I don't think we could have had better people in front of us. They looked between mid-forty's to early fifty's to us. I was joking with Shea that they got pregnant 20 years ago at a Police concert and were back to relive their youth. In fact they were so into being kids again that they were, in their own drunken way, talking about going to the Regeneration tour the following week with more excitement than they have probably seen in 10 years. I think it was a preview of me in about 10-15 years...how sad for me!
The only complaint I had about the entire night was the cluster that was the parking lot. Without exaggeration we sat in our parking spot for over an hour before we were able to move. Then it was a mad dash for the only open exit in the parking lot, so I am sure you can imagine the morons behind the wheels of large vehicles! Overall it was quite an experience. Sorry, Tiff, but you REALLY missed out!
This first video was about the best our little digital camera can do. I learned there is a 3 minute limitation on video on the camera last night. Not that I need it to take more than that as we do have a nice digital camcorder. They just wouldn't let us take that to the concert. I thought the intro to this was funny. He gets a little hard to hear once the audience realizes what song it is, but funny anyway.
Because we were far enough away, as you can see in the first video, I just set the camera on the ground for this. Because of that you will see pictures that we took with our camera while there instead of video while the audio plays. Because we had to use the digital zoom on the camera to get close pictures, some of these are not as clear as they could be...enjoy!

My boys
Alright..I promise this will be my last post for today. I just thought this was so funny that I had to share. Here is the conversation between my boys and I when it came to nap time this afternoon.
Mom..OK boys, please go lay down and take a nap
The boys..OK mommy. (5 minutes later they come out to the living room)
Mom..You need to take a nap if you want to go to the park later(yeah, so I bargain sometimes)
The boys..But mommy, we are not tired. Can we please watch Harry Potter.
Mom..You boys are sleepy and you need a nap. But if you will lay down and relax and watch the movie I will be happy.
***so, I laid them on the couch. I proceeded to find the movie and when I returned to the living room to put it in this is what I found.
I love it when I'm right :)

Out with the old...
YAY! It's official. We finally replaced our water softener today. We also decided to install a reverse osmosis system! All I can say is goodbye bottled water! I think I shall go do my happy dance now..

Golfing
Ryan, Sterling & Tony went golfing this last Saturday to spend time together before Ryan goes back to Florida. It sounds like they had a great time! I found this photo in our e-mail that was taken that day. I thought it turned out nice! Except for Tony and his tongue reflex!

I'm starting to see a trend...
Alright, Tony has no idea I am posting this but I couldn't resist! If any of you know my adorable husband well, you know how BADLY he hates getting his picture taken. Between my mother & I, we have many pictures of Tony doing his famous pose. Sticking his tongue out at the camera. I honestly think it is a reflex at this point. My mom always jokes about making an entire album of these poses, but until then I figured I would share a few of my favorites! Please excuse the quality from some of these..they seem to be a bit blurry. You get the idea, though. (Thanks mom for sending these to me!)
The Fourth
I am a bit late in posting this, but we all hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! I love this holiday. We had such a great time. We spent the day with our friends, the Thomason's. It has become our tradition to start out the day with the parade & we end it with the fireworks..I'm sure most of you spend your day the same way. We were also lucky enough to have been invited to a wonderful BBQ at the Evans' house. It was so nice to hang with old friends again. The food was great, the kids had a blast running around & it didn't rain. :) Here are a few pictures from the morning. I'm so bummed that I didn't get any pictures of the BBQ, but there is always next year.
Trying to get a picture of the three of them was hilarious. This was the best one.
Waiting for the parade to start. Isaac looks sleepy already!

**I will post pictures of the BBQ later. Laurie mentioned today that she took some & will be forwarding me a few!! Thank you!!!!! :)

Bits & Pieces
I am a bit behind on blogging so here are a few things we have done over the last few weeks. :)
We went to a soccer game on June 18. It was the boys' first time watching an actual soccer game. (Thank you grandma Linda for the tickets!!) We had great seats and the boys really enjoyed the game.

Last week we went to a parade in Ogden to help celebrate South Ogden Days. Our good friends, the Thomason's invited us. Even though we were 30 minutes late the boys were still able to gather up a few pieces of taffy & get a personal tour of the Ogden Police Station. The boys loved every minute of it. They can not wait until the 4th of July! Thanks to Randy for showing the boys around the station and the new fire trucks!
This last Saturday we decided to load up the car and go to the local Drive In to see Wall-e. We met up with our neighbors and had a fabulous time. It had been a long time since I had been to a Drive In. It seemed as though everyone else had the same idea! That place was PACKED! The boys camped out in the back of our car while Tony & I sat on camp chairs. We are excited to try it again sometime soon!
This last picture just makes me laugh. The movie was almost over so I decided to surprise them and take a picture. Yeah..they weren't happy with me.

And finally, Lagoon take 2. We hit Lagoon again this past Sunday with the boys' grandma Barbara & aunt Laura. I forgot our camera..again. Thank you grandma for taking these pictures and sending them to us! I decided that we will always go to Lagoon on a Sunday! There were NO lines!!! It was awesome and the boys were able to ride all of the rides they wanted to. We all had a really great time and we can't wait to go back next year!
