We did it!

I have always wanted to make a gingerbread house from scratch. I found an awesome recipe online so I decided to give it a shot this year. Isaac helped me make the gingerbread on Saturday. Tony made the templates and cut out the house and we all helped decorate it! I think it turned out great! Maybe this will become a yearly tradition here..

Toothless Taylor

Taylor lost his first tooth today! It has been loose for about 6 months. He did have a cavity in it, so they decided to go ahead and pull it rather than wait for it to fall out on its own. It has been a very exciting day for him. The bummer part about his day happened when he came home & discovered his tooth he took to school for show and tell was missing. We figured it might happen, but he was so excited to show his class so we decided to let him take it. He has since written an I'm sorry note to the tooth fairy. We will see if she shows up! :)

A little late (video now added)

We recently went on two short weekend trips. One to Colorado & the other to Boise. We had a wonderful time both weekends! While we were in Colorado we received an early Christmas present from Tony's dad. A Flip Video camera. This thing is awesome! I wanted to post a few videos from it. I have been trying to add them, however, we need to do a bit of tweeking first! Stay tuned...

****Video is added now. PLEASE forgive me when watching the videos. I am still getting use to the camera & my hands seem to be a bit shaky! The first three videos are of Mike's house. They give some of you who have asked an idea of how many Halloween Decorations he really has. The last one is of a house the boys went trick or treating to in Boise. They tried to tell the owner of the house that their Grandpa Dude loves Halloween & has a crawling guy too :)

The boys received a few packages this week from Grandpa Doug. The first package contained this..

The second package contained this..

The boys wanted to say thank you their own way. They colored a Thank You picture for Grandpa. They also asked to have video taken of them, so here you go. Thanks again Grandpa
Doug!

One year later...

Tony in October of 2008

October 2009

We started Spark People in October of 2008. I decided to pull up some pictures from a year ago for fun. I found the top picture of Tony and was shocked at how different he looks now. I can not believe how far he has come. He looks amazing now & I just want him to know that. If it weren't for him, I would not have ANY motivation to be healthier. Thanks baby & great job on keeping your weight off!

Projects

Thanks to my mom & my friend Lacey I have gotten into "crafting". There is this wonderful place called The Wood Connection down in Salt Lake that sells craft letters etc. You just have to take them home and paint them. Here are a few that we have done..I have one more in the works and hope to get it done today.

......now on to the word BOO for Halloween

Meet Princess Leia

As most of you know through Facebook, we recently adopted an English Bulldog from a local animal shelter. We have been wanting a bulldog for a few years now, but did not want to spend the $1,500 plus to purchase a bulldog puppy. After getting lucky and finding Leia at a shelter listed online we decided to get her and bring her home. We did this while the boys were in school as we wanted to surprise them as they got off of the bus.

She does have a sad story that comes with her. Some of you have asked why she was in the shelter to begin with. Her original owner took her to the vet to have a microchip inserted. While that was happening the owner passed away. The family of the man took Leia for a bit but decided they did not want her, which is how she ended up in the shelter. She is super sweet & the boys love having a dog around to play with.

Below is video of the boys getting off of the bus to find their new puppy. Honestly, it was pretty anti climatic. They acted like they already knew. Oh well!

And now for a few pictures..

Monkey Business

I came home from work today, sat down, and had dinner with the family. I was asking the boys what they wanted to do for the night and they both wanted Shea and I to watch them try new "tricks" on the pull up bar...so that's what we did. They are turning into quite the little monkeys! Although we were planning on sharing the video anyway Taylor wanted us to make sure we sent these to Grandma Cathy, so here you go!

This first one is Isaac's hang and dismount...

...and here is Taylor's...

Night Out

Tony & I recently went to see Depeche Mode in concert. We had a total blast! Most of you already now that Tony has been a huge fan of them for years. It has become tradition that every time they come in concert we go & our friend Sterling joins us. Last time we were in the 7th row..this time the 4th. Who knows, maybe we will eventually get to be in the front! Anyway, here are a few pictures from the night. We sort of punk'd out a little bit. Tony does not normally wear fingernail polish, and our hair is normally not highlighted with red hair gel. It was all done in fun! Thanks again baby for a great night out!!!

Tink the horse

The boys have had a BUSY summer. Their latest adventure was riding a horse for the first time. We all met over at Keith's house (Tony's step brother) last Saturday night. The cousins went first and they all looked like pros! Especially Ashley =) The boys went last and had a fabulous time. I did manage to get a few pictures. My batteries were dying so I didn't get as many as I had hoped.

Jon finishing his ride..he loved this horse.

My Grandpa Lewis..

Many of you in the past have asked if twins run in my family. Here is a picture of my Grandpa Lewis and his twin brother, Blaine. I have always loved this picture. For the past few years I have been wanting recreate the picture with our boys and have them hanging side by side. I was hoping to have the boys picture done around the age of 3. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the truck until last week (it does look a little different but I think the headlights make them look similar). My sister in law was in town and had Ali from Blissful Memories take her kids' pictures with this truck. Even though the boys' are a bit older and they are not standing exactly like my grandpa, I think it turned out beautiful and I can not wait to have them hanging together in my living room.

I am still debating on whether or not to keep the picture in color or have it black and white to match the older picture. Any thoughts?

Fourth of July

We had a fabulous Fourth! I'm sure we did what most of you do..Parade, Picnic, Swim & finally fireworks. It is our yearly tradition to meet up with the Thomason's for all of the Fourth festivities and this year was no different. We were even able to meet up with the Evans' for some awesome fireworks! Thanks again to all of you..we had a great day =)

This last picture of Isaac totally cracks me up..he was pretty bored with the parade =)

We had our BBQ in Trish's parents BEAUTIFUL backyard. These picture do not do it justice.
