Our poor Isaac...

We had a check up appointment for Isaac today and it turns out he will need surgery. I'm totally bummed about the whole deal. For those of you who do not know, Isaac had tubes put in his ears almost 3 years ago. I guess they usually fall out within the first year. He had one that fell out about a year ago. The other..well..it just won't budge! Once a child hits the three year mark for tubes they have to be surgically removed. They said we can wait until February as that will mark the 3 years. His pre-op appointment is then. Here is hoping it will fall out before then so he doesn't have to go through another surgery!!

Weekend in Colorado

Our last trip was to Pagosa Springs Colorado to visit Tony's dad and Muriel. We had an AWESOME time! We helped Mike set up his Halloween decorations for his upcoming annual Halloween Bash. I knew he was into Halloween but never imagined how many decorations he actually had! We spent close to two full days helping him set up & we still didn't get everything out.

We decided since Mike & Muriel live on 5 acres of land (not sure if that is right, but it is close) they should create a Haunted Forrest...it is really spooky at night! I didn't get pictures of the outside...maybe another time!

The boys LOVED this spider..kind of creepy to me

They have faces placed on random trees around their property..the boys thought they were the coolest thing

Ok..there is a LONG story behind this picture. I will give you the short version..that creepy crawling guy SCARED the crap out of the boys. They have a very HIGH tolerance for scary things..we always wondered what would freak them out..now we know. There faces say it all.

This skeleton guy has a remote. Isaac had fun driving the skeleton around the floor..

We decided to dress up this year with the boys for Halloween..these are the two costumes that Tony tried on from his dad's collection. We decided on Gandolf.

Thank you Mike & Muriel for such a wonderful weekend! The boys still won't eat the bloody finger fries...they still think they are real fingers!

Weekend in Boise

We had another fun filled weekend away from home! The trip started off a little rocky as I "wrecked" the car we were taking up to Boise. The car, boys & I are totally fine, but the bumper on our car needs a band-aid as the boys put it. Anyway..no one was at fault as some lady & I backed out at the same time in a McDonald's parking lot. Though there was a witness saying it was the other ladies fault as I was further out when we hit, they were not able to site anyone. Yay!

Once we arrived in Boise it felt like we never stopped going! We played golf, went to Chuck E. Cheese's, played at playgrounds, shopped, decorated for Halloween, visited the COOLEST candy store, played Scrabble & watched movies. The boys were yet again spoiled by Grandma & Grandpa. And..as always I have a TON of pictures that I love.....

HANGING AT THE HOUSE ON FRIDAY

THE CANDY STORE

We had SO much fun! Thanks you guys for an awesome weekend!

Oh..and I learned something this weekend. We now know when we have overstayed our welcome at my moms house. She has three cats who HATE it when we visit. They hide in a closet the whole time. Well..I discovered that one of her cats PEED on our suitcase this morning. I'm guessing he was ready for us to go...

Now on to Colorado in 3 days!

Just because they make me laugh...

The boys asked to dance to "their" music yesterday. They both love Rascal Flatts and Maroon 5. I could not help but post these videos as they totally crack me up!

Also..some of you have asked me if they have different personalities. Well..after watching their dancing differences, I would have to answer YES for sure. (For reference, Taylor is in the cape)

Yes..at the end of this one Isaac pulled on Taylor's cape..no, it did not choke him!

To translate..Isaac told Taylor that this is NOT mean song...I'm guessing he did not want Taylor to dance crazy..

I hope the videos made you laugh like they did me :)

Thanks Grandma Linda!

We took a trip with Grandma Linda down to Salt Lake this past Friday (obviously, before the snow storm..I meant to post this on Friday) to Gardner Village. If you have never been there it is the cutest little shopping area. Because of the time of year, they have witches scattered all over the place. It was fun to try and find them all :) We had a fun day with shopping, lunch & hand paintings.

Thanks again Grandma!!

Now on to Boise...

Hum.....

What is WRONG with this picture?

***UPDATE***

Here are some pictures & video from our "Snow Day"
I'm not sure who was most excited..the boys or Tony? I think that it is safe to say that I have 3 four year old kids in my house..not 2 :)

How often do you get to have a snow pumpkin?!

No, that yellow spot is not what it looks like, though Tony wanted it to look that way :)

This picture sort of gives you an idea of how much snow we got. We measured this afternoon and we have roughly 10 1/2" of snow in the front yard.

Yeah..our attempt at clearing the "jump" was kind of lame!

Taylor tubing down the driveway...

The boys tubing together..

Tony made the boys a slide for their tube on the side of our house. They later decided it was more fun to slide down without the tube..

**Thank you Uncle Ryan for giving us this tube! Wish you & Xaine were here to help us break it in!!

New Government Agency

Shea and I thought this was funny and figured we would share some laughs. This actually helps explain much of my high school years! Shea wanted me to apologize if this offends anyone. Personally I think it will only offend the 2's of the world!

And so it begins...

This weekend was the first weekend trip of 4 that we have planned for the month of October. This first weekend was spent with Grandma Barbara in Idaho Falls. We had so much fun visiting her, Aunt Laura, Great Grandma Calkins, Great Grandma Lewis & Amy.

The boys had SO much fun being spoiled by all three grandmas with hugs, kisses, toys & candy! They seriously have it made..I was thinking about this on the way home. They will see all of their grandmas & grandpas this month at one point. With our parents being divorced & remarried they have 4 grandmas & 3 grandpas. Unfortunately they will not make it to see all of their great grandparents, but at least they were able to see the 2 that live in Idaho Falls. :)

We enjoyed the Wii, eating out, watching movies, playing dress up, playing with Aunt Laura's new puppy & letting balloons go for the boys' Grandpa Mike. We had a wonderful time & it was a great way to start off our month of traveling. Next on the list..Gardner Villiage with Grandma Linda. Until then, here are some pictures from this past weekend..Enjoy!

This is Great Grandma Lewis...she is amazing! Also..how many women in their 70's can pull off a ROXY sweatshirt? I can't even do that and I am in my 20's!

This is Great Grandma Calkins. We surprised her..she was so excited! The boys wanted to wear dress up clothes to show all of the people in the assisted living home how cool they were. Oh, and yes..my eyes are all but shut. Oh well :)

This is Grandma Barbara..she really made it a special and fun weekend for all of us! Thanks again!

The boys playing dressup..

Letting balloons go for Grandpa Mikes birthday...

I looked back on the way home & Taylor was crying..when I asked him what was wrong all he could get out was he wanted to go back to Grandma Barbara's...

****I didn't have my camera while visiting my friend Amy..maybe next time. Thanks for having us over everyone. We love you all!

A bit overdue..

Tony and I took the boys to the their first circus last Friday. I am honestly not sure I have ever been to a circus myself, so this was new for me also. I wish I could say the boys enjoyed the whole thing, but I don't think they did! We had awesome seats, snow cones & yummy fries. You would think that would more than keep their attention, but ten minutes into the show Isaac wanted to go home and Taylor was all but asleep. Poor kids..once the motorcycles came out they perked up. They LOVED the second half of the circus when the trapeze people and elephants were doing their thing. Overall, we had a nice afternoon just the 4 of us.

The boys before the circus

This was the turning point for the boys..they finally seemed interested

Taylor asked me where Dumbo was

Their costumes where a bit freaky!!!!!!

What night is it again?

I have decided that we have WAY too many TV shows that we like to follow. I did not realize how many until my friend asked me which show we liked to watch. SHOW, not shows. Are there people out there that only follow one show?! I began to feel a bit embarrassed at our long list. As I started to name them off I realized we have no less than 2 shows we watch each week night with few exceptions. I figured I would post the shows we watch to see if any of you need lives like us :)

Monday
Terminator (The Sarah Conner Chronicles)
Heroes

Tuesday
House
NCIS

Wednesday
Private Practice
Lipstick Jungle
Knight Rider

Thursday
Grey's Anatomy
Smallville

Friday
Don't Forget the Lyrics

Sunday
The Amazing Race
Entourage

I'm so THANKFUL for our DVR.....
