Color, finally!

We went through the boys room in June and painted the walls, added a new ceiling fan, baseboards and finally blinds. I have been meaning to post this for some of you who have been wanting to see the before and after pictures. I'm a bit delayed, obviously, but here it is...

Now if I could just figure out what I want to hang on their walls!

It's good to see George and Sparkles! What about doing some kind of big magnetic board similar to what is in the playroom? They could hang all their cool pre-school work up. Or frame chalkboard paint on one wall and let them make their own art work ? Hey..where is the cheese factory blog?? hehehe :)

Oops! I realized just now that I got the name wrong! Sorry Taylor, Sprinkles is the name of your puppy not Sparkles! :)

I LOVE it! So cool. Board is such an awesome idea. I am tired of my kids taping stuff to the walls. My friend Megan did an awesome one covering magnetic cork board with fabric. Turned out really cute. It was something she saw in Pottery Barn kids but made for MUCH MUCH less money.

Don't feel inspired!  That just means a lot of work for me!  If you ever want the baseboards up in the rest of the house you will leave their room as is for now!  ;)

LOL... am I interrupting anything? I love the colors of the walls. I'm still trying to decide what to put on Sophie's walls and it's been about 6 months since I painted it. :)

Ah, man, this seems like a lot of work. I say, screw it and just bag it all .... just move into a new house. Like the one down the street from us... ;)

Hey Shea, check out this post on Megan's blog. There are pictures and a description of the project. Apparently it has been difficult to find the magnetic cork boards. However, if you don't mind push pins, you could use regular cork board. I have been meaning to make some of these for my kids rooms. I even found some really cute nautical fabric to use in Jon's. Haven't gotten around to it yet though.
