Disneyland Day 2
On to our second day in Disneyland. This was by far the boys' favorite day out of our entire trip. Why you ask? Well..lets just say they now have the force. If you don't know the boys well you may not understand their love for Star Wars. It just so happens that Disney offers a Jedi Training Academy. It is all based on luck as to whether you are chosen to learn from the Master or if you just get to watch from the sideline. The boys were not chosen the first day which led to tears and two heartbroken boys. However, the second day proved to be better. Once they were chosen we knew that it would be something they would remember forever. They both learned how to correctly fight with a light saber and they both had a turn to fight Darth Vader. Here are pictures of their journey to becoming Padawans, and they have diplomas to prove it.
The Master
Isaac waiting to receive his light saber.
The Master telling a joke only adults would understand about Taylor's height and being able to cut off a certain male part with his light saber. Poor kid had no clue.
Following directions from the Master.
And of course, Darth Vader. The boys to this day still think he was the "real" thing.
Darth Maul (awesome costume..he even scared a few kids)
Taylor was the first to fight Darth Vader.
Isaac was the last to fight Darth Vader (I still wonder how that happened but it was kind of cool)
Finally defeated.
Graduation. I knew our boys were short, but holy cow. No need to point them out, I'm sure you all can figure it out on your own =)
Isaac still thinks he has the force and he tries to use it daily. I love it.
Here are a few other pictures from that day.
Pluto was the only character that we were able to get a picture with. We never saw Captain Hook cousin Jon..we tried!
Teacups..again
Taking a break.
That pretty much sums up our trip to Disneyland! I have one more post with some random pictures from Marina Del Rey and Las Vegas. I will post that shortly.

Disneyland Day 1
Ok..I have put this off long enough.
The boys LOVED Disneyland. I really don't think they had any clue as to what Disneyland really was. Their faces were priceless when we walked in. I wish I would have snapped a picture. The boys shoes worked out great (we had to buy heely's just to get them to the 40" height requirement for some of the bigger rides).
When asked what they thought of the rides, this was their response..
Did not like
-Haunted Mansion
-The Matterhorn
-Pirates (Isaac tolerated it, Taylor was scared to death)
Rides they Loved
- Buzz Lightyear
-The Jungle Cruise
- The Tea Cups
- The red roller coaster in Toon Town
- Finding Nemo
- Autopia
- Soarin' Over California
-Star Tours
- It's a Small World
We did ride more rides but they were not as spectacular in their eyes so there you have it. Here are pictures from the first day.
Walking from the hotel..I think Isaac was a little excited.

We were not even officially in the park yet
I was excited that someone offered to take our picture
Waiting in line for the red roller coaster in Toon Town
More waiting in line..
Proof that I went on the Tea Cups (I actually liked them this time)
Isaac dancing with the girl in the red dress during the parade
Waiting for the firework display..I think Isaac's face says it all..

Project Vader
We have a new addition to our family. It was not planned by any means, but we have decided to take on the challenge of raising a baby kitten. Now, when I say baby, I mean BABY! The vet estimated the kitty to be only 7 days old. He was abandoned by his mom yesterday at Tony's moms house. There were four kitty's yesterday morning in their yard and the mother came back slowly for them but never returned for the 4th. She may have come back late last night but the poor thing never would have made it in the cold. So...we are starting from square one with this little guy. I took him to the vet and everything looks great. He just needs to be kept warm and fed every few hours. It is liking having a baby all over again. We originally were just going to take it for the night to keep him warm but as expected, the boys are TOTALLY attached. We will see how things go from here, but for now it looks like he is here to stay.
Oh, one more thing. The name comes from Darth Vader (the boys love Star Wars) so with the help of some of you we have settled on Vader. I think it is rather fitting. Enjoy the pictures..they are the best I could get.

Newport Beach
I took over 200 pictures over the course of 4 days so rather than posting one HUGE entry I will split them up over the next few days. First off, the beach. We took the boys to the beach on Tuesday evening. It was perfect. Though they had been to the beach one time before, they were not old enough to play in it. They had so much fun..it was probably my favorite part of the entire trip and something I will always remember.
